This is a very touching and emotional song that hit's you right to the core. In 2009 my x had an abortion with what would have been our baby boy she was 6 months pregnant at the time. after she went through with it. I went through counseling as this effected me deeply and during that very difficult and sometimes painful process I was asked to write a song and come up with a name of my child or what would have been. I wrote and recorded it and even practiced it more times than I can think of and even performed it in front of 300 people at a gala for those who attended as well as the agency Options Pregnancy center in Regina SK Canada that helped me during that time. There was not a dry eye in the audience. I had been listening to Lenard Cohen a lot when I wrote it. songs like Hallelujah and If it be your will.
